Development

All you parents out there know that one of the most fun parts of having kids is watching them grow up before your eyes. Here's a few new things that have happened in the Balfour household during this last week:Suddenly Ellie's "scareprows" (scarecrows) look like real happy faces! She's a bit fixated on scarecrows, and I really have no idea why.

Ellie learned to make her own toast! (with adult supervision). Next time I'll have to mention that, as a general rule, we don't put our hands in our pants while we cook. :)

Joshua got his fourth tooth - top left, and we have peace in our home again. :) But top right is showing signs of coming, so who knows what tomorrow will be like!?!

And now instead of Joshua only saying, "Bah bah bah" in his masculine voice, he also makes this strange pigeon-like sound at the back of his throat. All. The. Time. And it must require a fair amount of effort, because it makes his voice all hoarse. I have a feeling it could be a looong time before this boy talks. :)
